She is about four months old and recently (over the last week or so) has exhibited incredibly bad breath, smells like she's been eating her own fecal waste. No kidding, her mouth smells like the litter box. I feed her Purina Kitten formula and she drinks plenty of water from pretty much anywhere she can... her water dish (recirculating fountain with charcoal filter) the sink, the shower floor after someone's gotten out, even your glass if she can fit her head in it. I haven't seen any changes in her appetite or her behavior patterns, We are at the tail end of battling a flea problem, and she did have tapeworms because of it, but she's already been treated for that. Any guidance as to what may be the cause would be greatly appreciated.

She's right about the age where they start losing their baby teeth...Chay was 5 months when he started losing his, and the smell was horribly horribly foul. He even stunk because he would lick himself and carry the smell into his fur.

I would do a vet visit to make sure that there are no health problems you are unaware of, but I wouldn't be surprised to find it was baby teeth falling out that is your problem. However, it can also be a sign that something is wrong, so its best to have it looked at instead of just assuming its nothing.

i would give her pitr'pat breath mints or greenies to keep her teeth healthy, and speed up the tooth loosing process by chewing... it may freshen breath and speed that up... i have never been through that... if i was... i didn't notice... i smell gross things everyday!
