Awwww so cute!!!! Isn't it wonderful when they get along??!! Every cute thing they do together is just so exciting...

I'm glad they're all settled in now, and enjoying each others company. You know two cats can get into more trouble than one cat....

real funny Sarah!!! today, I left for 20 minutes to go 3 blocks away to the bus stop....I came home, and somehow, LuckyGirl had gotten the baby to get her collar off! Here's Louie proudly running around with her collar in his mouth, and she's sitting on the couch like the queen of Sheba!!!

Now THAT put a funny image in my head.

Just look how much fun they're having together! I have GOT to talk hubby into considering a baby brother or sister for Anya... The plotting begins...

Here's another one for ya: Lil Louie wanted up on the back of the couch with LuckyGirl, who was sleeping...so I put him up there, he goes and rubs his face into hers, and she starts licking him all over, and puts her paw up on him to hold him....doesn't he go right for the gold and try to nurse off of her!!!
She was NOT having that, and quickly whapped him in the head and took off....
poor Louie must be missing his momma!

First of all, LOVE the leopard print rug!

I'm jealous watching your babies together! How long did it take before they got this close to each other?

I'm really, really looking forward to the day (I hope it happens!) when Ginger and Ferris get that cozy with each other!

Thanks!!!! I love it too. My husband is very comfortable in his masculinity!
I should post pics of my bathroom, it is pink/black/white, with sort of a glam/parisian feel to it. And my towels have black w/pink polka dot high heels on them.
My living room is decorated in caramels/browns/black & whites....it's sort of done in an African theme. I have 2 beautiful pieces of art work on my walls, a lion and a zebra, and a wooden giraffe that stands about 3 feet in the corner (that the kits are fond of knocking over). The kits were wrestling in about 3 days, but she was still in a kind of "I'll kick your butt!" mood with him. And if he got too close when she didn't want him to, she would pull her paw back like she was about to bust him one in the head and he would get the hint. It was really quite funny. They are still not really cuddling together, and don't sleep too close together, but she will groom him now. That took about 4-5 days, and it wasn't an affectionate groom, it was more of a "eww you smell bad and need a bath" kind of groom. She almost had a dirty look on her face when she groomed him. How long have your babies known each other???? And how old are they? I hear that if they are older, it may never happen cause they get set in their ways. I am thankful that my 2 are getting along, hubby said that we would not be able to keep Louie if Lucky wasn't herself anymore...that this was her home 1st, and I wouldn't have wanted her to be upset either. Hope your 2 become best buds sooner than later!!!

Ginger does that too, but honestly, I'm starting to think that Ferris may be a rare alpha male, because she lets him eat out of her food dish - just not when SHE'S eating out of it. Same with the water fountain. If he comes close when she's drinking, she'll raise a paw to him.

I've had Ferris for exactly 11 days, brought him home on the 31st. He's about 3 1/2 months old, and Ginger is close to 15 months old - she's still pretty much a kitten, in HER head, anyway.

They are starting to play with each other more, and are getting a bit closer, but no signs of cleaning or cuddling yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Ginger still takes her nighttime cat naps on my bed, but they definitely aren't sleeping next to each other - she likes to sleep on top of her cat tree in the living room, and there's only room for her when she curls up on top. I think he's sleeping under my roommates bed, but I'm not positive - he hides himself to go to sleep. He's still quite feral. I'm assuming that Lil Louie wasn't a feral, correct?

Louie was not feral, he came from an irresponsible neighbor who's indoor un-spayed house cat got out and got pregnant. He's one of 8 in the litter, so he is really wanting desperately to cuddle and love up to LuckyGirl. She was kinda semi-feral when we found her. She was living on a hotel resort, so she was used to people, but wouldn't get too close. I think that she would get close enough cause people would feed her. That's how we found her, she was almost a skeleton, you could see every bone in her body. And she almost doesn't know how to be a cat. She doesn't knead her paws ever, she had never ever hissed (until she heard Louie hiss at my dog), and she's a true hunter....she will notice a mosquito in the house, where Louie doesn't notice anything. They have been together now 9 days, and I'm surprised (but thankful) that they are doing as well as they are. I think that Ferris will come out of his shell soon enough, and Ginger is still young enough to adapt to him. They are close to the ages of my kits, Luck is 1 yr and Louie is 11 weeks. Although we have only had Lucky since April, the vet said she was 7 months then by the size of her teeth. I'm guessing maybe they just need more time, he's still got so much adjusting to do himself....be patient with them, I'm sure they will be fine in no time!
PS.....Do you have a thread up with pics of them??? (will search in a few...)
PSS....Did you name him after Ferris Bueler???? Love that name!

I do, there are a couple of threads, one with LOTS of pics, just search on Ferris.

Ferris was the name he was given by his foster family when they took him in after he was captured, but I liked it, so I kept it!
And I just saw the movie again on Nick this weekend, LOL!

Awww, thank you so much for the compliments!
Yes, he's a long-hair, although his tail really isn't anywhere near as fluffy as Ginger's was at that age. The vet swears he's part Maine Coon, and said the same about Ginger, although she's pretty small at just 8.5 pounds. Which is what I'd thought, but they're both just lovely little moggies to me.

This morning they ate breakfast side by side, although out of separate bowls, so they're getting along much better. I'm still jealous of the relationship your two have, as well as Harley and Davidson, LOL! But I think we're getting there!!!

That is a good sign!!! After they would eat in the same vicinity, it was all up-hill for my 2. She still will not let him near her plate at all. But if I put the plates next to each other, he can eat next to her...she can totally put her nose & mouth onto his plate just to check and see what he's got, but he can't even sniff in the direction of her plate or she starts grumbling!
And they are finally sleeping near each other, not touching, but like 5-6 inches apart. This is progress, 1 small step for mankind!!!
I didn't think Ginger was that small! She looks much bigger in the pics....so then Ferris must be pretty tiny too. LuckyGirl weighed in at 6 1/2lbs when I had her in the vet in May, but I'm sure she's more now, she loooooooooooves to eat. Now she's eating that Elegant Medley's by Fancy Feast.... 79cents a can! For a tiny can! And of course the baby has to have it too.... spoiled rotten!! Your 2 will be there soon enough....Ginger is used to being an only child, and Ferris is still figuring out civilization. They'll be fine soon enough! I'll be posting some pics tonight....I have a few of them sleeping in the same hemisphere!

That is my FAVORITE cat move! one cat is like "WHAT? WHAT? YOU WANNA MESS? Cause I'll bust you upside the head" And then the other cat usually just walks off. Haha. Harriet does it to my dogs and they are TERRIFIED of her.

Makes me laugh everytime.

They sure are cute. I love cuddly kitties.
