We were just wondering whether a nuetered male can still 'mount' a female cat?

Male neutered cats sometimes do mount a female and male cats to show his dominance over them.

Yeah that's how I heard it.. About dominance and showing they are the Alpha Cat in a situation.. I couldn't remember why they would do it,, when they didn't have the urge too..

Yes, its more of a dominance issue then a sexual one.

My first cat, Mitten "bred" my Russian blue when she first came into heat so she would know what the males do. He never did it again. When it was time to breed her for real, she was fine....

My Fred was neutered at about 5 years old. I didn't know much about cats then, and didn't know how important it was. He "serviced" several of our female cats that went into heat before they were spayed.
