A few years back, when I lived in Cambridge MA, my roommates and I moved into an apartment that had a pet door on the back door.
My cat at the time, Oop, was originally an outdoor cat but she had been an inside cat for a while, so I decided to open up the pet door (which had been nailed shut) so she could go in and out as she pleased.
The first night we slept there, I woke up at about 6 in the morning to find about 6 cats from the neighborhood all running around my room. I went downstairs and there were a dozen more lounging on the furniture.
She had invited all the locals to hang out in her new place.
I started laughing so loud it woke up my roommates. We all spent the first part of the morning, chasing cats out of the house and nailing shut the cat door again.
I'll never forget the look on my roommate's face when he saw all these cats in the house. Priceless.
