I have two baby kitties that I am guestimating are 4-6 weeks old...
Their momma was put to sleep about 2 weeks ago and I found them a little over a week ago. I've been giving them a 3 oz can of Nutro kitten food & some dry Authority (for kittens) in the morning & at night... they haven't had any problems eating it so far. They also used the litterbox on their own right when I gave it to them!
I did take them to the vet the other day to test them for FelV/FIV and both of them came back FelV- and FIV+.... Other than this they haven't had any shots or any other sort of treatment.
I had arrangements with Katiemae to give them to her since I *thought* they had FelV before the test but since they don't, they can't go with her. Which means I don't really have anything else to do with them! The rescues in my area are full and won't take in anymore FIV+ cats, so I guess they will be staying with me. I haven't gotten a 100% 'ok' from Chad yet but he also hasn't said 'no' either, and I know he loves the little Skunky
Enough rambling- my question is what recommendations/advice do you have for me so I can take care of these little boys properly? Is there anything special I should be doing for them at this age?
They were both pretty feral but are coming around quite nicely! Last night I was even able to hold Skunk for a few minutes and both of them will come up to me
- although they're very cautious still! Maui was NOT happy about it either- poor guy
