What is the strangest thing your kitty routinely does?????

All cats that I have had always did one or 2 kinda weird things that the other cats did not do. It was part of their individual personalities! So what does your cat do thats sorta weird or different?????

For my two, Blueberry, if you scratch right by the base of her tail, will immediately start to groom herself. If I stop, she stops and on and on we go. Its pretty funny, especially for young kids who like to push her "cleaning button".

For Hobbs, when he and Blueberry are play fighting and Blueberry is on her side, Hobbs will maneuver himself in REVERSE around her head, steps on her head with his back legs, and then sits on her head! Its hilarious, tho Blueberry doesnt think much of it

Well, if you put your finger (or any object really, books, knuckles, boxes) by the corner of Wick's mouth she'll start making gnawing motions. Kind of like nursing only out of the side of her mouth.
Simon, if you put him in his round cat post bed thing, will roll over half on his back and chase his tail. Upside down. It's... complicated. But hilarious.

mine do loads of wierd things !

Dino, joins me in the bathroom every morning, after my shower he likes to have the towels swept across his head if I dont do it he complains like mad

Pepsi, will only eat her wet if its been mushed up - but hey FOOD is another story altogether eh

and Miss Moofs, she´s just cute for words, her weirdest thing is, if I call her HUNNY in a high pitched voice, she´ll come and sit with me for a hug.....awh !! I sometimes hide just to see if she can find me ! (aint that mean )

My girls are very weird!!

Angel is scared to death of our dog. Watch Sheba like nutz when she comes in,, but when put Sheba back out in her room. Angel goes and lays in Sheba's pet bed. Cracks me up.. Just lays there!!

Both girls wake up with me and I got to the bathroom in the morning.. I get done and they both jump up on the toilet and watch as it flushes down the drain,, and there head are bobbin and weaving in a circle.. It's soo funny!!!!

They also both zig zag each other liek the figure 8 when they are trying to run from one place to another,, say I give them food, as I'm walking behind them, they do this perfect walk of zig zag figure 8 as they both walk,, it cracks me up.. They only do that when I feed them wet food.. and they do it in unison..

Phantom has a really big thing for plastic bags. She doesn't just play with them. She grabs the handle of the bag in her mouth and runs like mad around the house. She also takes her feather wand and runs with it and tries to catch the other end.

Phenom is just strange all together!!

Radar scoots on his back under the edge of the sofa, using his claws to pull himself along upside down - all the way down the front edge of the sofa, then 90 degree turn and along the side, right round along the edges of the sofa, upside down. He goes really fast too! I am not going to look at the underside of the sofa for fear of finding out what kind of mess he has made of the webbing. Hope he doesn't end up bald along his back

Stumpy's thing was to leap up the wall. One wall in particular at the top of the stairs - she just leaps up as high as she can and grabs it with her claws, then jumps down again.

Now Lily has started doing it as well! They run up, leap as high as possible, then tear down the stairs.

our Izzy keeps falling off the furniture when we pet her or sometimes even just when she wants to be peted. She getts so excited so she begin rolling back and forward on her back and finally she tips of the border of the table, chair or sofa and just falls in the floor.

On our previous place she was also very dangerous with the cat door. She usally started running from the kitchen, through t´he living room and once in the hall way she had quite a speed. Then she dived truough the cat door with a bounce and it always sounded as if she must of had a concussion from hitting the cat door. She came in the same way. In our new place she is much more careful and I am grateful for that.

Our kitten Wesley always tries to crawl down in the toilet, behind me, every morning. I am not big enough to cover the entier seat so it is really difficult to save him. So far I have been succesful but he is fast and I am not always fully awake yet.

Ari will hang over the back of a kitchen chair and try to grab his tail. It's his fave toy.

Between my two, Jack is the easier to describe, so he'll go first.

Both of them have their 'place' for sitting on my lap. Jack's is when I'm sitting at my computers, on the swivel office chair. He comes up on my left side, never my right, puts his front paws up on either my leg (i sit 'indian style') or the edge of the chair, and stares at me. He never jumps up until I pat my leg, make that 'come on' motion with my head, and tell him, "come on up." He sometimes hesitates a moment, but jumps on up and stands, rarely sits, on my lap. The odd thing about it is that he always comes from my left, never my right... he's a little freak.

He's standing in my lap right now, as i type this.

As for JoJo... she follows me into the bathroom, no matter what. She jumps on the bathtub ledge right after I turn off the shower... occasionally jumping up there while the water is still going... none of her quirks are coming to me right now. Though most are related to either a 'Nip high, or just the usual Elevenses/crazies.

When I'm in the kitchen, Spike will come in and try to climb up my legs. This is his signal that he'd like to "dance" with me: I pick him up, cradle him in one arm, and dance about the kitchen, with him purring madly against my shoulder. Sometimes when I put him down he'll start climbing my legs again, because he's not done "dancing." (I don't know if this is a weird thing Spike does, or if he and I are just weird together! )

Oz wears my clean underwear on his head like a hat. Before I go to take a shower I'll lay my outfit out on the bed, and when I come back, my panties are gone. Oz will be racing around the apartment with them on his head. The first time I saw this, I thought for sure my boyfriend had done it as a joke -- what kind of cat deliberately puts anything on his head?!? -- but no, Oz does this himself, I've seen him do it. And it's only my underwear, not my boyfriend's: Oz will try to steal it out of the clean laundry pile when we're folding clothes, and he completely ignores my boyfriend's underwear in favour of my own. (Maybe my panties "fit" better? Or he likes the pretty colours and patterns? Strange cat.)

Those are both hysterical ... we need to see a pic of Oz doing that

I've mentioned this before.. But Rocky has a fetish for the lint roller. I swear, if we start doing to the couch or something he will come up and BEG for it to be done, that starts purring like crazy. He also climbs my legs but only in the kitchen.
Cookie doesn't routinely come up to me for attention but he loves to do it when I'm holding or petting Rocky, and literally tries to push him out of the way.. Then he gets a quick pet and takes off.
Suzie is shy but she hangs out in the TV room just hoping I will give her a treat. She hides under a little serving cart. Hello, we can see you.. then she gives me this real pathetic cute look and stares at me. Then she tries to smack the treat out of my hand with her paw/nails..
I can't think of anything unique Zakk does right now.. He's pretty typical..

After DH showers, Pearl comes and licks his hair dry. Which is really bizarre.

Pearl is also my hairdresser, she'll come up behind me and paw about my hair and lick it and try to put it in place.

Strange that you forgot to mention Radar's bizarre habit of trying to crawl up your jeans from the inside up to the knee....

He never does this with me- I wear tighter jeans and he always goes for the 'puter mouse or mouse mat when I'm around

Every time someone puts on a pair of socks, Merlyn goes up on her hind legs and has to rub against our feet over and over until the sock is finally on. I think maybe she thinks she's helping?

Hmmm, where to start?

Lucy "baptizes" her toy mice in the toilet. She hides under my longer skirts *while I'm wearing them*. Lucy USED to chew on my wet toothbrush, but I've learned to hide it from her.

Izzy plays in the water when I'm brushing my teeth. He also likes to drink from a small trickle of water either in the sink or the tub. He also tries to stick his snout into whatever I may be drinking, even if not "age-appropriate" for a 1 year old!

Ethel yowls like a banshee when she has a catnip "puff" in her mouth, and slinks around the house as though she has a vicious mouse by the tail.

Ricky Bobby chirps like a bird and sticks his 6-toed paws under the bathroom door. He hates to be on the wrong side of a closed door He's doing it right now, to Aaron!

God love all our little TCS kitties, aren't they just so precious?

Mine do some crazy stuff.

Hendrix will come in the bathroom while Im on the toilet. She will sit under the toilet while I am in the shower. Then will lick the water in the tub when I get out.

Joplin freakin walks on my head all the time! Oh and they both Chew up paper when their food bowl is empty they know it wakes me up from the deepest sleep!

Tiggy likes to lick the condensation off the outside of my bottles of water.

Fluff and Palekana run madly at the screen doors and fling themselves against the door as high as possible. All the screens are locked so there's no chance they can force the door open.

Palekana still gets confused about her tail. She's almost nine years old so you'd think she would have that figured out by now. She'll twist herself around, look at her tail and get this expression on her face like "what is that!" and go around in circles chasing her tail. She'll finally stop and start cleaning her tail.

Fluff gets jealous if he sees me paying attention to one of the other cats and has to come running over. He shoves himself between me and the other kitty to be sure he gets his share of the attention.

That's all I can think of for now. The others are fairly normal kitties- just normally strange that is.

The funniest cat i ever had was a big, white, deaf male who is living with my ex-husband now. He loves to be vacum cleaned. When the wacum cleaner is on he constantly lays down on the floor in front of you to be vacumed. In the summer he also loved to lay on the passenger seat when I was using our car to rake the horses training arena. He just loved going around in cirkels in my company with fresh wind trough the car window.

Oh, I don't know ... I think that'd give me a bad rep. With my luck the only time I'd be able to catch him with the camera would be when he's wearing my "end-of-the-week-thank-god-laundry-day-is-tomorrow" panties. You know the kind: the ones with the holes and the faded colours, the ones you hope to god no other person ever, ever catches you wearing. He wouldn't be wearing anything pretty or lacy.

Lil Boo comes into the shower with my every morning, takes a few licks of water and then sits in the sink waiting for me to get done. Then we go and have treats and breakfast!!

My Gizmo does that too. Pet her in the lower back and she immediatly starts grooming her chest if she is sitting and her paws if she is laying down.

Penny has a foot fedish. She loves to rub on my feet, not the ankles, the feet. When I have been at work or first thing in the morning she has to run up (almost tripping me) to rub the tops of my feet with her head and side.

Jasper has a pet me at all times and never stop meow. She will walk in the middle of the room or up on the deck and meow just waiting for anyone to say "what?" and she runs over for pets.

Uno hates the bathroom door closed. She will chirp, meow and stick her paws under the door until it is opened. She is especially loud if you are in the shower. She wants to be in there meowing at you the entire the time the water is running.

I go to physiotherapy three times a week, and on the way home I pick up a coffee and bagel at tim horton's.
As soon as I get home and Mica sees the bag, she places herself next to my chair and touches my leg until I put the wax paper down so she can lick the excess cream cheese off.

Sam won't stand up to eat his dry food. He flops on his side and pulls the kibbles out of the bowl one by one
post #27 of 29
Ivory runs behind the front door every time it is opened and she sits there, waiting....she likes chasing the weather stripping at the bottom as the door closes lol

Penny scratches the floor around the water dish before drinking. Makes no sense. Daisy takes cattoys that belong to CC and Camille (my aunt's cats). Daisy puts them in her mouth and takes them to a private area to play. cute

Chester tires to chase the shredder. It’s next to the desk in the computer room. When ever I shred something he will come running into the room, put his paws on the top of it and try to chase the paper.

It makes me laugh because he comes running faster when he hears that than when he hears the treat jar being opened.
