Open Introductions began today

We put up the special door in the bedroom now as the kittens have been inside there for over a week now. The door is made of heavy mesh so the other cats can get a sniff of the Clan but no one can fight each other. Right now, Mom has taken her kittens and they are hiding under the bed, a typical reaction to this new change in their life. By leaving this new door up, all the sounds of the house and the smells are assaulting them and hiding seems the only option.

Weds. McKenzie is getting spayed. I am so relieved for her as she has been in and out of heats since the kits have been born.

Oh Hissy - we are all keeping our paws crossed here for a good introduction!

I too hope everything goes well....and for McKenzie and her spaying, too!

It's such an exciting time in their development and must be a joy to watch the babies beginning to interact with the world around them and relate to other kitties.

I do envy you.

I do hope everything goes well. I'm sure it will. They do have the bestest human mommy they could ask for. I'll be keeping MacKenzie in my thoughts for the spay to go well.
