Sammie is 6 weeks and using the box well so i can't complain but when do they start learning how to cover it? Do i do something to help him learn? or will this just come with time. Thanks everyone! I'm such a newbie cat person!

I know he has worms and we are going to the vet on friday but his poo has blood in it. Does this mean the worms are severe? I gave him a little otc worm med. and i change his litter box 2 times a day so he doesn't get into the poo. Any other suggestions? His poo is a bit runny. Is this from the worms? He goes very frequently.

Hi there.
First off, it's best NOT to use OTC stuff. They aren't worth the money that you spend on them and alot of times are dangerous to our fur babies.
The blood could be from worms. But, it could be from a number of things......from Giardia,to an internal injury. It's best to let the Vet figure it out and tell you what to do about it.
Runny poop, is most likely a sign from the OTC worm meds. But, again it's BEST to let your Vet make a diagnosis.
What kind of litter are you using? Is it the clump kind?I noticed when I used it, NONE of mine would cover their poop. So, I put the clumping kind on the bottom and then added about an inch layer of the non-clupming kind.Works for us!!!
