Are the big fires up in Oregon anywhere near you? When I heard about them last night I almost panicked! The thought of you having to round up all your wonderful ferals, dog, and horses was so scary! Let us know how you are doing.

Thankfully no. They are mostly in eastern oregon and to get to us, they would have to travel over the cascade mountains first. I have trained my horses to accept blindfolds though, just to be safe, as the hills near us are quite dry and if they go up, it would spread quickly. I don't know what I would do with the ferals if a fire threatened us. Try to round up the ones that didn't bolt in fear and hope for the best for the ones who flee.
I hate fire, have always been afraid of it.
I wondered about you too with those fires. You all stay safe!!
