those are my kitties' favorite too!! and they have to be furry mice, not just the cloth kind. They throw them around and will pick one up in their mouths and then run away with a few of the others in hot pursuit!

I think it crawled into your pocket! are you sure you got it in the toy section and not the small animal one??
just kidding!! I buy the bigger sized ones because they're not as easy as the small ones to lose under the fridge or stove or couch

I wonder what is so addictive about them? They seem to be the only thing that Marishka will play with, as well.

Mooch has adored them since we first had her. Noodles likes them too. Mooch's favorite game with them is throwing them under the door into our bedroom so Mommy has to go in to get it and she can try to get in there. Silly cat! The only thing we do is to cut off thier tails. I've heard people say they've caught their cat eating the tails and in one case, kind of hacking on them. But Mooch loves them with our without tails.

The cats love them because they are made of real fur, not polyester. (Maybe some of your cats DO play with polyester mice, but if these are the ones I'm thinking of, they are covered in rabbit fur, have little leather tails and button eyes.

It might be a good idea to remove the eyes if you have small kittens.

Gizmo likes her mice but is fondest of a disreputable looking furball I made for her out of an old mink coat. It's tied to a leather shoelace that she also likes to chew on.

I got the idea for the toy when I saw Gizmo chewing on my coyote-fur trimmed parka. She is a hunter, and loves real fur. Most cats probably share the same sentiments.

My Astrid had a white fur mousey that she played with constantly and eventually it was just a blob of plastic with some gross tufts of fur glued on. I have bought her at least six more, but she hasn't played as much with those. There was something special about that first one.

My girls loveee
those furry mice!!! We dip them in catnip and they go wild for them!!! The only thing is,, they go missing,, I think they hide them on me. They had like 10 of them between me buying a package of them and the ones the we got as gifts for them. Now I'm down to maybe 2 of them. I can't find them anywhere!!!!!! I've no clue what those rascals did with them!!

This has to be their 2nd favorite toy. My girls really like the shiney streamers with a bell on a the string that you toss around. Angel will jump so high in the air to get that streamer!!!

the ones i have are furry tailed ones not leather, im pretty sure the fur is fake because the of colors they come in and what the back of it looks like, and no eyes. maybe i should try to find a real fur one too)

I found a rabbit fur spider to be a complete hit with my kitten - it was a wand type toy and I didn't realise it was real fur until I got it out of the bag. Radar went mad with it, so much so that he broke it off the string within 15 minutes and carted it proudly off to his "secret"
stashing place under the sofa - I had to retrieve it because it wasn't suitable for unsupervised play - but it has been his favourite so far (must get around to re-stringing it)

I've always gotten them - but just in the all white or all grey - none of the dyed ones. No problems and they all loved them.

HOWEVER, I just recently got Ling 2 white mice this past weekend. Cats were fine; the dog decided to chew up the little furry mice! So I can't have them laying around the house now - only supervised playtime for the cats/mice. Will have to replace them at the upcoming cat show!

Maui loves all mice!! All of my other cats have always had mice but never played with them like he does- but it had to be one of the first toys I bought for him because every cat needs a mousey
luckily he LOVES them!

He especially likes the mice with the little shakies inside them- that make noise. He loves to play fetch with them and it's sooooo cute when he comes running back with his little mouse in his mouth

I just bought a package of 30 of the Zanies furry mmice - the white, black and grey ones - from a seller on eBay. I bought the last batch through eBay as well. They usually go for 75-99 cents at the pet store, and buying a 30-pack, I'm paying 29 cents each, and that includes the shipping cost. This way I don't have to worry about them getting batted under things. When they get found, then it's like having a new batch all over again!

Ginger loves to bat them under things, and toss them off of her new condo, and Ferris just loves to play with them for what seems like HOURS!!! So I figure they are WELL worth the investment!

Hi Epona,

a leather bootlace makes an excellent replacement for the strings. I get them for under a dollar a pair at cvs.

there is a guy on ebay that sells bulk furry mice. 25packs, 50 packs you know. I usually buy from him because for 50 mice it was only 9.99 plus 3 for shipping and they last a long time. give them a few at a time. they are in heaven. Anyways his name on ebay is haneyspetproducts . these mice also have rattles in them which make for some extra fun hidding them and then shaking.

All of my cats love the little mice, furry or not. I store them in a ziplock with catnip leaves.

One them, I think it must be Lucy, likes to "baptize" them, one at a time, in the toilet. Yikes, the first time I saw that little drowned cotton mousie in the pottie...well, my son was going to really 'get it', till I realized what it was...
