here's the situation:

i am toilet training my 3 kittens and sometimes they seem a little 'apprehensive' when on the toilet. they might jump onto the toilet, dig a little, meow, and jump off again without actually going pee or poop. i know they need to go, and they're nervous (changes, bigger hole, water, etc...)

they have NEVER made a mistake outside the bathroom. and only one of the 3 kittens ever makes a mistake, and if they do then its behind the toilet and is very seldom.

i want them to feel a little more comfortable with going to the washroom and feliway is supposed to be good for stress related situations. and i know going to the washroom is stressful for them.

should i put the diffuser in my bathroom? or do you think the main room would be better? i live in a small batchalor that's 14'x11.'

also, they say the diffuser only covers 500 - 650sqft. does vertical measurement count as well? if so that would mean 14'x11'x9'(height) and so the diffuser would only cover half the room?

any ideas?

thanks

I put mine in the den which is an average size room where Astrid spends the most time. I would put the diffuser wherever the kittens spend the most time - with a small place it will probably cover most of it. You could try two (I know - the price!) but I don't think that is necessary. I would try the main area first and then if you think it would be better you could move it to the bathroom.

Any product that says it covers so many sq. feet always refers to (flat) floor space width, though of course if it's something like air freshener, it will affect a lot of the vertical space as well... but it's a way of 'measuring' the actual amt in a bottle, (or can of paint, etc.) so you have some idea how much there is available.

i'll try that. i'm gonna leave it out in the main room for a few days and then if i dont think its helping them feel more comfortable with the toilet training, i'll put it in the bathroom.

in that case i should be covered because my house's total space is under 500 square feet.
