Ok this is a bit strange, or perhaps not as it affects all 3 of my cats

If i scritch my cats spine, about 2 thirds down the back, it triggers washing !

Now even stranger is that if i kiss the end of Jazzys' front paws she licks her nose
Why

So i figure this deserves a bit of research.....so guys get scritching and kissing and post your results here

Well, I've noticed that if I pet them when they don't feel like being touched, it triggers the washing. Otherwise, they wash me!

Well, scritching her back didn't trigger any washing, but sometimes she does groom after I've been fussing her. Especially at night, when I'm trying to sleep, and I've been fussing her before I got to sleep, then all I can hear is lick, lick, lick, fidget, lick, lick, fidget - you get the idea!

My Lil bit does it! She licks me if she can reach me,and if she can't she licks the air!! I think its a reflex thing..like scratching a dogs belly and getting the hind leg kicks!

It is odd, it starts the instant i scritch their backs and stops immediately when i do

But when i hold Jazpaw and just kiss her paw she licks her nose, its sooo cute

Ivory will clean her front paws (or anything else that may be in the way) if you scratch her shoulders.
