Since Baby has been gone, one of my neutered males has become the "leader of the pack" and the power has corrupted him completely. I believe I posted this in someones thread, but I really do need some information and some advice on how to slow this little fiendish feline down. Baby was most certainly the Alpha in the house and ruled the roost pretty fairly, she got after the cats when they were hurting each other. Loco is now being so mean to my other male who is also neutered and has the sweetest and gentlest personality of any of the cats. He is really terrorizing poor Romeo, I catch him in the act and firmly tell him no and seperate them and then watch and continue to pick Loco up and say No and then put him in the bathroom when he won't stop. I have done the blow in his face, and Romeo is now fighting back and beginning to hiss and really fight. I have begun to clip the nails of all the cats, but I swear Loco know how to use my nail file and sits up nights and is sharpening his claws in preperation for the other poor cats
so I do his twice as often as the others. I humbly ask for any ideas and input you good cat lovers have, because the only person Loco is nice to any more is me. Of course, being a cat, he is only nice to me when it suits his moods

The alpha post is not yet set. You mentioned Romeo fights back. Loco knew from the start who his rival would be. I suggest you assert yourself as alpha or wait till they settle it among themselves.

I think you should let them settle who is dominant/alpha cat. You can certainly keep Romeo and Loco separate sometimes. Maybe they will only be together for an hour at a time, morning and night. But otherwise, letting them fight it out once or twice should settle it.

Condolences on the loss of Baby. My sister had a kitty named Baby who was very sorely missed when she passed.

I just hate to see Loco pick at Romeo, he is such a gentle soul. I do miss my Baby, she was such a verbal cat. I still look for her everytime I leave the house. It is funny how much her daughter Dimples is taking on her role, she is the "family groomer and hugger" now like her Mom was. Thanks for your comments and ideas
