Okay I have a window unit and I want to know what the energy saver does on it. I turned mine on to try it out, the energy saver, and my ac fan just kicked off but the ac is still on I don't want to mess my ac up I just bought it this summer.

Thats exactly what it's supposed to do, no worries...it's normal. When you have an air conditioner running in it's normal mode, the compressor that pumps the coolant throught the system cycles on and off as needed, according to the temperature. So, if it gets cooler than the setting on the AC, the compressor will stop, but the fan will keep running.

In energy saver mode, 3 to 5 minutes after the compressor shuts itself down, the fan will turn itself off too, going into a minimum energy mode. I have all mine set that way.
