Just got an email from my mom saying that my brother and SIL had to have their almost 13-year-old yellow lab PTS yesterday. Max been struggling for while with various ailments and was bleeding internally. I haven't talked to them yet, but know how hard this must be for them and the kids. They loved Max so much and just lost their 14-year-old cat, Samantha, to cancer in July.
Max was a sweet, sweet dog, who loved his family so much. His was very gentle with and protective of my little niece and nephew. He was a friend to everyone and would literally bounce with joy with people came to visit. RIP you big, goofy, slobbery boy. We'll miss you so much and always love you Maxie.
