Favorite and not so favorite commercials?

Being a pretty heavy duty Nascar fanatic, I like the one of Tony Stewart talking about how the home improvement projects he did at home helped him to win the Cup last year. I also like the ones where the Nascar drivers are drinking Coke on TV every chance they get to have more donations go to some charity ... can't remember which one it is now, maybe Victory Junction.

Someone mentioned the Vonage commercials with that hideous song ... a little factoid about that song, it is by the FiveSixSevenEights and is performed "live" in Kill Bill, the second one, I think.

I really don't have any that I can think of and dislike at the moment though.

Those citibank identity theft commercials crack me up!
That diaper commercial "Oh yea now this is what I call a diaper"
The verizon commercial with the creepy guy and the lady lies about her network.
Those geico commericial with little richard and the movie voice guy.



I am tired of and dont like:
Those payton manning(football) commercials
The VW crashing commercials scare the crap out of me.
That ford commercial, that has divorced parents hanging out on the weekend with the kids.
Vonage... three words: that darn song!!!!!!
Those stupid Dr. Z commercials and mr. opportunities!

i love the Citibank identity theft ones too

and i agree about the VW crashing commercials. i'm hardly faint of heart or easily upset, but those commercials are just disturbing, and whenever i see them i can't help but think of ppl who've lost someone they love in a car crash-like, is that really the kind of thing they're going to enjoy seeing? i don't think so. :/

Any other female despise the "Have a Happy Period" ad?

I like the Citibamk copmmercials, too, especially the one with the 2 old ladies talking about the motorcycles, and the big black guy that sings, and talks about hair extensions.

Hahaha My fave Citibank has to be the one with the dirty looking man that has the voice of a preppy girl that talsk about her sexy new outfit.. that one has me in fits everytime.
Or the one with the old ladies as the biker dudes.. lol

I do hate "Head on...Apply Directly to the Forehead" commercial!

I thought of another one, I like.

That arbor mist comemricial when they guy proposes to the lady and she goes crazy for the wine. It's funny.

My favorite commercial is the Fed Ex commercial with the office meeting that starts with the boss saying "we have got to cut costs people, ideas"..........and the one guy gives his idea and is ignored, and the boss says the same thing etc...something about that commercial cracks me up...

I love the commercial where the guy says in a hotel room...."ive been hereeeeeeeee beforeeeeeeeeeeee."...and his wife says "yeah,. we saw this on Hotels.com online"..lol..kills me


I hate ANY commercial where they try to make kids look too cute or say something they would never say...like talking like they are science students in college, at 7 years old while the "stupid" adults are amazed..yeah right...

or where the parents are having an argument about cell phone contracts and the kid says to his sister...."he is SOOO busted"....that one about makes me

like the first person in this thread, i cant stand any commercial by Peyton Manning, but especially the one where he is "cheering" for cooks, or accountants, and all this other lamo stuff..he comes across like he is mocking them....the guy is a grade A doofus.....

Well, there are SO many different talking animals in TV ads these days with talking geckos at the top but I cast my vote for gargling dogs.

my favorite commercials right now - the geico ones "so easy a caveman can do it". they seem to be a love em or hate em kind of thing, but I love em the one where he's talking to some cnn-esque reporter, and the female commentator says (in response to something the caveman says) "sounds like someone got up on the wrong side of the rock" , or the one where he's talking to his psychiatrist (a great nod to the Sopranos), an older female, who says so easy a therapist could do it "wouldn't make sense to me", and then the caveman says "why?" and she goes "cos therapists are.." and he cuts in - "cos therapists are what? smart??" and she looks all uncomfortable. Don't know what it is, but I just love those

Favorites:
The Tidy Cat one with the party " Hey, where did everyone go"?

I'm probably gonna get yelled at- but I think the Geico caveman commercials are too funny. Esp the new one where the caveman's talking to his psychiatrist.

The Capitol One commercials with the Vikings. I loved the one at Christmas where they're putting the tree in the back of the van and it goes right through the front of it.

Dislikes:
The stupid V-Tech commercial where the parents say "Stop doing your chores and play your video games" (this one's on Nickelodeon a lot). Like I'm gonna tell my kids that playing a stupid video game's gonna make them smarter.

Oh and I hate the happy period ones too. I have endometriosis- and trust me, many times having a period is NOT a happy experience, esp when I'm taking 500mg Motrin at a time and it is doing NOTHING for the pain radiating from my front to back.

I love Budweiser commercials and any with animals like the California cheese cows! And the Aflac duck has to be one of my all time favorites!

I don't like any drug commercials because I think they are inappropriate. People should not be pressuring their doctors to perscribe something they saw on TV. And how much $$$ are the drug companies spending on advertising, when the savings by not advertising could reduce prescription costs?

I really don't like the Boniva commercials with Sally Field - especially the one where her friend was telling her she had set aside time to take a pill once a week. OMG, what a bother! Geeze, I take 4 pills a day, and I'm not complaining!

And I really hate the Geico commercials - especially the cave man ones. I wouldn't buy their insurance even if I had no choice! Again, how cheap can their insurance bee if they are spending all this $$$ on expensive TV advertising?

"If you have an erection lasting more than 4 hours, seek medical attention."

I hate this commercial sooooooooo much.

"When the time is right....will you be ready?"

I HATE that commercial! That song drives me mad.

For commercials I like.. there was one a year ago with a girl sitting on a floor holding a blow dryer and she was hissing.. don't remember what product it was for. And the old Raisin Bran one from twenty years ago is fun. "Sturdy Danny McGee was up his fifty-ninth tree, he said 'I work as fast as I can,' when he suddenly saw two scoops of raisins in a package of Kellogg's Raisin Bran! Well he rushed to the ground, 'cause ol' Danny had found what's important to a raisin fan, 'cause Kellogg's puts TWO SCOOPS OF RAISINS over those nutritious flakes of Bran! When he got to the truck Danny sure was in luck he was one happy man cause only Kelloggs puts two scoops of raisins in a package of Kellogg's Raisin Bran!"

I love the Roaming Gnome, The Geico commercials (I love mini me "its my birthday..."!) Also the Geico with the cavemen - also agree about the Tidy Cat - loved the Persian with the lampshade on his head!

Don't like the VW crash commercials either. Actually there aren't alot of commercials that I like - most of them insult my intelligence. And quite frankly, I havenever claimed to be the brightest bulb in the box!
