i have 3 kittens (20wks). first dreamer had diarrhae and then blood in the stool. then after 2 weeks bonkers had the same thing. and 2 weeks later tinkerbell had it.

now 8 weeks later all kittens stools are absolutely perfect consistency. no blood. and well hydrated but intact. which is very good.

i had their stool tested for parasites at a specialising lab and the results were all negative.

what could it have been. and should i be concerned. they seem fine now. but i still wonder if they have worms.

any ideas at all?

thanks

Were they ever dewormed? Very often kittens have worms when they are born. I would collect fecal samples from each of them (good luck keeping them straight) and get the samples tested by a vet's office. Do you have a regular vet? If so, you may not have to bring the cats in unless they find something in the samples.

i'm not totally sure if they were dewormed. the doctor did give them a dose of deworming medicine. and i did already have a stool sample of each kitten taken.
