My kittens are 4 1/2 weeks old and they scratch pretty often. Not me, themselves, like they are itching something. I have looked closely and see no fleas. I spread the hair apart where they scratch and there is nothing there. Am I just being a worrywart?
We do have other animals but they scratch from time to time and I haven't seen any fleas on them, either.

I would be vairly certain of fleas. Get a flea comb or a lice comb and see what comes out. comb against the direction of hair growth.

If not fleas perhaps dry skin or an allergy.

Check their ears and see if they are gunky. If so, they may have ear mites. Two of my kittens had to be treated for ear mites. It clears up pretty quickly but you will need to have a vet check them.

Yes, that is mostly where mine are scratching too, behind their ears. I will look in there (ears) to see if I can see anything.
Thanks!
