Ever have one of those days where one little thing just ........

Well....welcome to my world..a world with no instruction manuals for $^#^%@ answering machines!
I have an 8am flight out tomorrow morning and will be gone for 2 weeks. The last thing on my list was to get the instructions for my answering machine (which I've been looking for since yesterday) so I can get my messages remotely. Well - I have every gosh darn manual known to man in my files - manuals for things I have, manuals for things I don't have anymore, and manuals for things I never knew I had - but NO answering machine! So I go online - GE website - instruction manuals..
. So I download it..
It's a 2 page excerpt of technical info - NO instructions. I then find 2 other spots for manuals...both webpages can't be loaded! I get error messages.

One little flippin thing!
And now.....I'm just too tired to look anymore.
Giving up.....defeated....by an answering machine!

One last thing! For those of you who are night owls - if you're really really bored tonite
, the answering machine is a 29875GE1 GE digital answering machine.

Just a thought.... do you have a cell phone that you could forward your home phone calls to? This way you could either answer them, or let them go to the voice mail on the cell.

Well, here you just type *77 or something like that into the phone, then you get a few beeps and enter the number you want to forward your calls to.
You may want to check and see if your telephone carrier has a website with instructions to calling features, or someone in customer service will be able to help you

Call forwarding used to be an optional feature on the home phone lines here, but I think it's pretty much standard now.

If you had asked before I left work I *just* threw it in the garbage today after they finally sorted out our voicemail.

You may have to call your phone provider to have call forwarding added
