Anyone know what is the best method to keep my cat off the sofa.

Shes not scratching the sides or anything on it, but more of the seating area.

Is there a spray i can use to keep her off the sofa, that is also safe for leather?

Also, another question about SoftPaws.

Anyone recomend a brand? And what size should i get? She is about a year old.

Thanks

There are sizing guides on the SoftPaws/SoftClaws websites. As far as I know, those are the only ones, and both "brands" are the same thing. If you put them on her front claws and trim her back ones, do you really need to keep her off the sofa?

If so, there are a number of ways, the best and least cruel IMO being an upside-down car mat, the type with the unpleasant plastic spikes poking up. This will make it an very uncomfortable place for your cat.

If i go with the soft paws, yeah she can go on the sofa all she wants. But dont i have to remove the soft paws once in a while to trim her nails down?

Thanks

Or you can try a thing called Scat Mat, which you can find on eBay.

Or you can get a sofa cover.

Soft Paws fall off as the nail grows out, and you have to reapply them. So yes, I suppose you need to remove them to trim the nails, but they remove themselves and you put new ones on after trimming again. The first time they're likely to fall off within a few days, after that they'll last much longer.

Il give them a try and see how things go.

But are there any sprays to keep them away from the sofa just in case? I wouldnt care if my cat scratched the sofa, just that my parents are going nuts over it since its a new set...
