Well, you are welcome to join us, but you might want to bring a gas mask. Every litter I have ends up stinky! I don't think cats are meant to be in such close quarters, and since it has been chilly I can't open the window.

I think it is a combination of non-scoopable litter and feeding canned food. PEW! But they sure are cute! LOL!

More pics of the little ones tomorrow...my dial up is especially slow tonight. But even the wee ones have their eyes open now...they are getting SO CUTE!

I...am...in...love
. I just had so much fun reading through this thread and fawning over those gorgeous babies. *Contemplating how easy it would be to get up there and adopt T...*

Oh, Amy, if I can tempt you to adopt one of my babies...I'm sure I could deliver her! LOL! (I drove further to pic up my foster CoCo and her babies!) T is already exhibiting typical tortie personality...I'm sure she will be a handful in time. However, her brother I is the picture of confidence and friendliness. Of course, fulfilling the ginger kitten as a sweetheart.

Maybe GG and Er will be extremely smart, as the other brown tabbies I have known....

More pics soon, I promise!

We used to have a brown tabby that used to be the best "therapy cat" ever. We swear that she even knew we were sick BEFORE we got sick...she'd just show up in our bed.

I am so sorry for slacking on posting pics!

DH and I purchased some photo editing software...so here are my first attempts.

Double G, or "GG", the 8 week old kitten with a heart murmur.

Her cousin Owl, about 5-1/2 weeks old. Owl is one of the younger litter, who is almost as big as the older litter. The older kittens went to a new foster home, and after I had them all in their crate, Owl jumped on top of the crate as if he wanted to go, too! Silly boy, just because I get you mixed up with the bigger kittens doesn't mean you are old enough to leave your Momma yet!

I know most people keep kittens with the Mom's until 10 weeks, but I am overloaded, so some went to another foster home.

This is a pic of Robin and Gopher. Robin is the tabby girl, and Gopher is the black boy with white hair inside his ears.

This pic shows their actual colors better, but you don't get to see Robin's cute face.

If I am sitting in the kitten room, Robin is in my lap. If I stand up to scoop litter, etc, most of the time Robin will sit on top of my foot. She is the prize of the litter, the sweetest little lapcat ever. She is preadopted by a lovely woman who will take her and one other tabby.

Gopher has been a crybaby and a talker since day one. He is very vocal, and terribly sweet. I'm sure he will be handful for whoever chooses him.

This is GG (tabby on left), Owl (tabby in the middle), and T (tortie on right) in a wrestling match. You can see that Owl is about the same size as T, although she is 15 days older.

And I must say, I can scarcely tell these kittens apart. Some are so similar, and in the pics I get the "bigs" (8 weeks) and the littles (5-1/2 weeks) mixed up. Thankfully I have dd who is 10 y/o, and can usually tell them apart. She also helps name them, and does alot of the taming. (Thanks, Lexie!)

Here is Rabbit, one of the littles.

And Eeyore. No wonder the Mom's stay so skinny, they can scarcely eat without having oodles of babies nursing!

Don't you love her markings? She is Mom to the younger litter. She was totally afraid of me at first, and just hid. Now she eats out of my hand. But more than that, she has fallen asleep while I am in the room! I also notice her watching me with the kittens, and I think she is learning not to be so afraid of me.

No, I am too paranoid to let kittens loose. I'm sure it would be good socially, but Garfield sneezes from feline herpes, and I don't want the little ones catching that. And only the older litter has had vaccinations. Plus we are battling ear mites with the kittens, and I wouldn't want my kitties getting mites....

I'll send Piglet to the woman who is caring for the rest of the original owners kitties. But I plan to keep Eeyore for a while, and let her have the run of the house once she is spayed and vaccinated. She will eventually go back to the original owner, but in the meantime will see what family life is like! LOL!

Piglet is still very hissy when I enter the room, which is why I won't be keeping her as long as I will keep Eeyore. But she did play with the feather dancer both on the kitten tree, then from within the cage.

No, there are no feathers left on our feather dancer...but the kitties still like it!

Eeyore has come such a long way from when she panicked while having the kittens. And her coat is beautiful.

Congratulations on your hard work.
