I had to take Jade to the vets today and they had a basket of abandoned kittens.

They are cross bred but 2 look like pure siamese (they are not but they have the colouring) one had the biggest ears I have ever seen.

I fell in love at first sight..

Now I already have 4 and I live in a big house on my own (threw the OH out 3months ago which is why I have been abscent from the site for so long) with lots of land and off the main roads... soooooo do I take this little baby as well.

I am so tempted and 5 is not a lot more than 4 ..

Oooooo what do I do ?

If you can....
you might want to wait until the health problem with Jade is resolved.
A new kitty is the home when she is ill could present a problem when she is recovering.

Don't forget as our furkids age vet care can become very expensive so be sure that you have enough money to care of all of them for the rest of their long wonderful lives.

If the vets office would hold one for you,
that could be a solution.
Remember...this is just my opinion.

I thought of that too but you would have to meet Jade to understand her...

She is so laid back it is unreal, I flew her here from England she settled in as if she had always lived here. She went outside after 24 hours (ex OH left the door open), she had a look around .. thought this is cool no rain .. and that was that.

If it was one of the others I would not even contemplate it . but Jade.. I would swear she smoked grass..

She was so sick today but no fuss no bother she just sat on the vets table looking around her, when they pressed her bladder (which must have really hurt) only I could tell that she was in pain because her ears were slightly ascew. I had to tell the vet .. yes that hurt because at a glance the vet had no idea.

I just love her to bits..she was purring so loud they could not hear her heart beat.

I will see what the vet says tomorrow and maybe discuss the kitten... I am sure they would keep it for me.

There are so many homeless babies here ... and I have the room so....

I know I would if I were in that situation.
Heck, If I had a house all to myself, and 4 cats..I'd take 2 or 3 or maybe even all 4.

Good luck with that decision...I'd say talk to vet & see what they think about it. But Yes..Take one. Or all.

If you have the room, can afford it and can still deal with Jade's problems go for it. The poor baby needs a loving home. And, as you say, not much difference between four and five.

Went to give Jade a cuddle today she is so sick but still purring and extending her toes when I love her.

Spok eto the vet and she said she would arrange with the charity for me to have the little boy. My vet is a saint she has 15 street cats at the moment she keeps them and then the charity collects them and rehomes them.

She also charges charity prices to them as well, when I had to rehome my ex boyfriends dog in Germany she only charged me charoty prices for his vaccinations.

I spoke to her about the little boy and she says no problem with payment just pay what I can a bit at a time like a bank loan and this applies to Jades bill as well.

That is so awesome that the vet is going to work with you. I can't wait to see the new kitty when you bring him home.

Cats also purr when they are in pain so we cannot assume that because they are purring they are very happy.

I know that cats purr when in pain but she wasn't purring untill I started stroking her also the kneeding motion she does with her paws started at the same time as the purring.

I am just praying that the drip does the job and reverses the kidney failure.

I will post pictures of the new kitty as soon as I collect him on Monday and hopefully I will have better news on Jade by then also.

All I ned for him now is a name.. I was thinking along the lines of Ming or Chen or Zen.
