Hi there!!

I just have a question for my mother.
Recently out of nowhere, one of her cats madaline who is about 6 years old has started acting as though she doesnt know her older cat Bugsy (hes about 12)
She meows at him and crouches when hes close by.
She hisses
and recently has begun attacking the poor old guy.

Why would she suddenly change like this?
any thoughts??
thanks guys!

Your older cat isn't showing any signs of being ill? The only time I have had this type of behavior was when I had two tiger boy brothers who had lived all their lives together at my house. One at 8 developed cancer and the healthy brother must of sensed his brotherwas ill and would hiss and growl at him and would not stay in the same room as his brother.

Shes starting to pee in strange places now too... pretty much all over the house

shes starting to act the same way toward the young cat too, the young one is so terrified shes shaking.

the older cat is pretty old and acts it, I dont know if hes really sick though.
He hasent changed much other than being a little slower...

Sounds she is the one sick. Ff shes peeing in places other then the litter box. She might have a bladder infection. I suggest getting her into the vets.

I agree with this. Sounds like she is the one sick and possible in pain and that is why she is reacting to the other cats even getting near her.
