4 month old Izzy has a liver shunt, so we feed him a low protein diet. How much should we be feeding him & how often? I'm getting concerned that he is not growing

I would suggest looking at kitten packages and the guidelines and start there but YOU NEED to talk to your VET

Animals with liver shunts often do not grow as big as littermates. Are you feeding a perscription diet? If so your vet should be able to tell you how much to feed. Your vet should talk to someone from the food company because low protein diets are not generally fed to puppies and kittens (though exceptions are certainly commonplace). You should probably consider free feeding him dry food.
