Thats right, if anyone has read any of my other threads, she underwent a surgery, and the doctor found that her lymph nodes around her intestines were abnormally large. I watched the surgery (don't worry, i work for him, and aided... it was hard and i broke down after he brought up cancer, and as soon as i left to go back to work in the kennels, she threw up with the tube in her mouth and died on the table... but she was revived... and i found out later, relieved that i had left when i did!!)

anyway, i taked to the doctor, and he had sent out a boipsy of the nodes, and they faxed back the info today. It turns out she is not cancerous (thank goodness!), but she could have one of these three things:

- IBD- Infectious Bowel Disease- uncureable, but treatable...

- a food allergy: was on Premium edge Healthy Weight, but now after the surgey, she has been moved to 1 tablespoon of low res eukanuba vet diet food and will gradually get greatter portions as we see a steady improvement, and she is keeping her food down.

** she and "Tai" live at my bf's since my parents are either allergic to them or just won't allow them... and i have tried to convince them. His parents have 2 kittens that eat friskies and an other crappy store brand food, and leave the doors open (my cats stay in my bf's room , and their kittens stay in his sister's room directly next to his room) and this allows my cats to go for that food, rather than their good food. (like childern who have access to eat mcD's everyday, and wont touch their veggies, as explained by Jen
)
IS THAT TO BLAME?

- or a bacterial infection: being treated for but what is it?! how does a cat get it...

IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO ON ANY OF THESE THREE (3) POSSIBLE CAUSES OF HER ENLARGED NODES THAT CAUSED HER BELLY TO BE TENSE AND UNCOMFORTABLY HARD, PLEASE POST BACK ASAP!!!!

I would continue the low residue food for awhile and then maybe try something like WYsongs Aujus line mixed with it .... Aujus is meat and broth and most cats will eat it is not a complete food so mix it with something that is ..
Premium edge has only a few ingrediants I would think may cause allergy / intolerence issues , maybe try a simplier formula ( natural choice and california natural come to mind)
