Thanks for the vibes on Jerrys colonoscopy!

He made it through the prep better than I was expecting and his procedure is over! They didn't find anything and all is well. Only thing is, he said although they gave him some drugs, he was wide awake and chatting with them through the whole thing.......we were both under the impression that you were either knocked out or at least out of it...............
He said there was some discomfort/pressure, but nothing that was awful.

Thats wonderful news !!!! My Mother was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer through this proceedure ..... good for you and him all is well !!!!

I believe it's usual to be awake through the procedure. You should find out if he said anything funny, though, while he was under the influence of the meds. Pat had a minor procedure last year for which he was given drugs but not knocked out. The surgeon was still cracking up when he came to talk to me in the waiting room.

Wonderful !!!! I know I was mostley knocked out till they got to that redundant colon part and I felt myself jump So that was the end of it for me because they can't get past that, I may have to have part of that sucker taken out, have to go talk to the Gastro Dr...Glad Jerry did good, I bet him a hungrey boy to though

I'm glad everything went well....I sat at the light by Bob Evans today and dreamed of their biscuits! It's right next to Walmart of all places...that's just not right! Too much temptation!!!

I'm glad he is doing good and it went well. I was also wide awake during the procedure. They just did like an epi to numb everything below the waist and all I felt was pressure. It wasn't bad.
