Cat biting toes

For a little kitten, probably. You move your toes, kitten sees prey, and pounces and bites. Just make a really loud yelp or ouch when kitty does it, and soon he will learn that biting the parents is not a good idea.
Most of them grow out of it as long as Meowmy and PawPaw don't encourage it while they're growing up. Sure, its cute now, but when those teeth and claws get long and sharp, its not fun anymore!

i meant my toes. I consider their toes paws.

I've known a few cats who think toes=toy. With kittens and inappropriate biting behavior - I replace my foot/hand/whatever with a toy the moment they start to bite.
Problem with Smidge and my toes...she does it mainly when I'm dead asleep and am not coherent enough to enforce different behaviors.
