I stay in a flat, which has one bedroom. I don't yet have my kitten but I am wondering about where her things should be. I think I will have her bed in the livingroom, the litter tray in the hall or the bathroom, and her food and water in the hall.

Has anyone got any advice? I just didn't want to have the litter tray in the kitchen, as it is small so I don't think it would be very hygenic...

The bathroom is usually a good spot for a litterbox. It's an easy area to keep clean and it doesn't normally get a whole lot of traffic. The bathroom is also a good spot to keep the new kitten for a few days while she adjusts to her new home. Also, if your hallway is carpeted it would be easier to clean up after a litterbox in the bathroom, where you could just sweep up any kitty litter. It can be hard to get all the kitty litter out of carpet.

Thanks, yeah the hall is carpeted and the bathroom has tiles - so I think the litter box will stay in the bathroom.

Oliver's is in the "utility closet"... I'm in a studio apartment and it's not so much a closet as a corner of the apartment you walk through to get into the bathroom, haha... I'd say the bathroom is your best bet as well and I'd highly suggest a litter mat to catch any litter that sticks to your kitten's feet....
