I'm getting ready to move and will be taking my two cats with me to my new apartment. I'm just wondering if someone can give me some tips or direct me to another post on how to gently acclimate them to a new place. They're both about 2 years old and have only lived at home here until this point and I just don't want to completely shock and distress them with the entirely new environment. Thanks a bundle!

IMO best thing to do is to confine them to one room for a few days with litter pan, food/water and then gradually let them explore the rest of the rooms.

I agree! You'll also want to put familiar things in "their" room and then eventually throughout the house... I'd also invest in some feliway spray or room diffusers - helped a bundle these past two weeks when Oliver came to the shore with my family. you'll also want to give them plenty of time to get used to the new place... even confined to one room for awhile, they'll want to hide to destress - as long as they're eating/drinking and using the litter appropriately, try to fight your urge to dig them out of any (safe) hiding places and let them have their space for a little
