Does anyone know of a good program that will enable one to send bulk emails out? (500+ emails)
Doesnt need to be free, happy to purchase one if someone can recommend one?

Are you doing this on a regular basis? If so, I recommend using a mailing list service provider like dundee.net.

I am in the web hosting business and we refer our customers with large mailing lists to them.

If you have your own email list, try Constant Contact - you can find them on the internet and they are VERY user friendly.

If you are looking to actually obtain an email list, please PM me and I can help you with that - I'm a list broker.

We use CRM Group Bulk Mail Sender, I don't have anything to compare it to (and to be honest, I think I have only used it myself once, but the interns use it a fair bit and haven't complained

Two of the best ones I've used are constant contact and CoolerEmail. Currently, we use CoolerEmail at work and are very happy with it: and we send about 20,000 emails a month to our patrons- about 5 emails a month to 4,000 people. Very reasonably priced: I'm not certain about how international they are but PM me if you're interested and I'll give you the name and # of our sales rep.

thankyou for that. I am in Australia so would need to look into this here. I am not very good with all this technical stuff though

list broker huh?
we have our own email list which we currently send too.
I have had a look at constant contact on the internet and it seems to be a monthly fee. I would prefer to find something that is a once off purchase.

could you tell me if I can send attachments with this? Usually the emails we send out have a word attachment. Can you ask your interns?

It definitely allows attachments, we use it to send pdf copies of our newsletter to alumni and information to sponsors using it, it also gives you a list of people it did not go through to etc. We have only ever sent about 500-750 emails at a time, so not sure how great it would be at thousands

You can download a free trial and try it out
