Poops everywhere

One of my cats likes to poop and pee everywhere in the house, except the cat box. He has been like this since I got him 4 years ago, but he is such a good cat otherwise that I put up with it.

I've tried giving him his own box and got the largest jumbo sized box I could find, but nothing seems to stop him.

I am just going to have to deal with it forever or is there anything I can do?

i would try putting him in a small room with the box, food and water, IF and WHEN he starts using the box, GRADUALLY let him into bigger places til he gets full use of the house again. it may take awhile, so be prepared to be paient,lol

Thanks for the reply. I may try that if I can figure out what room I can keep closed off.
