On why it IS NOT better for a female cat to have one litter of kittens before she's spayed.


Trying to educate the populace.

Also, any articles about ped. speutering would be great. Running into some angst on that as well. Has there been any research done about the long term health effects? That seems to be the biggest concern, that down the road the cats aren't as healthy.

Re a cat having a litter prior to being spayed, see the reduced risks of developing mammary cancer depending on age spayed, and refer to the explosion of unadopted/unwanted kittens and adult cats being put down in will-kill shelters.
