Yeah, so I did not go to the other page of that site.

Well, let's see. I am 26 does not smoke or drink, but I have bad habits though like does not eat healthy foods (I am picky).

My "real" age is about a year younger than my actual age, and no questions were asked about smoking (I don't smoke, but still!). It also doesn't ask questions about things like drug and alcohol use, genetic predisposure to things like heart disease, osteoporosis or arthritis, or mental health, all of which I would figure ought to factor into your "real" age. Then it offered to make me younger if I signed up for their plan. I'm happy with my age, thanks very much! It took me 28 years to get here!

That is so strange that some people were asked about smoking and others weren't! That just goes to show that what it is really all about is trying to get you to buy their "plan."

I smoked for 24 years before quitting 3 years ago, and have had several traumas that brought me to be diagnosed with PTSD, so I know darn well that my real physical age should be older than I am, not younger as their "test" results showed.

I just took the Cat Age test ... It asked waaaay more questions than the Real Age test asked of me. For the most part it seemed accurate, but I have a problem with the fact that it considers my cat to possibly be lacking in proper nutrition -- I strongly disagree with that assessment. Otherwise, according to the test, Oz is 10.5 years younger than the average cat who "took" the test: he's 15.8 (which initially scared the heck out of me, since he's barely three!).

Thats pretty neat. My real age is 23.8 and the age they came up with is 23.5. Pretty close
. Ok then I was 25 in the medical history stort of follow-up one. For Lifestyles I was 24.1 .

Ginger's CatAge is 11.3!

That's 2.4 years younger than the average CatAge for Ginger's breed.

CatAge is the biological age of your cat, measured in people years.

Huh. Not sure I know what to make of that. The positives and negatives they stated were:

Benefits:

Spayed
Regular vet checkups
Vaccinations
Nonsmoking home
No feline disease
No infections
No parasitic conditions
Plenty of exercise
Indoor environment

Costs:

Somewhat underweight
At risk of heartworm, fleas, or ticks
General health conditions
May be lacking proper nutrition

I don't agree with those costs, with the exception of her being slightly underweight. I went on to read their suggestions, and I find it ironic that they are telling me not to feed her kitten or people food as they can lead to obesity, yet they are telling me that she is underweight and that's a bad thing. LOL!

Okay, I just spent an amusing couple of hours doing the various tests on the Real Age website, and then I went back to the Real Age test to take it again (yes, I'm that bored at work, hush
). Using the link from the Real Age website to the test enabled me to take the full test, and this time it included important questions like "do you smoke?" and "do you exercise?" that I wasn't asked the first time I take it. Based on these new questions, I'm 26.9 (I'm 28.0 -- my birthday was 12 days ago), which I suppose is more or less accurate given that I don't exercise but do eat right. It still ignored important factors like osteoporosis and mental illness, but whatcha gonna do?

At the very least, it's a fun way to waste time, and I need all of those I can get!

I dunno. It took an awful long time and didn't seem to be very accurate. I did get asked about smoking, but I don't smoke. I'm 20.5 and it said my RealAge is 19.4. *shrug*

Gee Susie! My "real age" is 47.7, actual age 53. So I guess that means I'm younger than you!

Don't feel too bad...I'm about to turn 38, but it said my real age is 48.7.
Probably related to the fact that I'm overweight and that Pat smokes (but not in the house).

My cats fared better...they all came up about 8 years younger than average. No surprises there...I definitely take better care of them than myself.
