Ophelia was only about 3-4 months old when she had a toilet experience. She was exploring, as kittens do, and discovered the toilet. She carefully hopped up on the lid and was investigating what was inside the bowl, inching down carefully with her front paws, keeping her back paws on the lid. Trent, being a little stinker, saw her little butt sticking up and just couldn't resist! He came running into the bathroom, smacked Ophelia on the butt causing her to slide into the toilet, turned around and high-tailed it out of there! I could have sworn I heard him laughing!!!
This is sooo funny Trent's a meanie!! No, so far Villy has stayed well away from the toilet!!

YES!!

Davidson fell in yesterday morning - John said he was in the kitchen before work and he heard him meowing and crying - so he went in the bathroom and here he was - in the toilet, STUCK! Trying to get out! He was so wet that he couldn't get himself out - from now on, we keep the toilet lid shut!

Hubby and I are the same - lid is always down. Last weekend, I went into the bathroom and the lid was up. I thought I was beginning to have senior moments and then remembered my mother had visited.

Fortunately, no kitties in the toilet.

I read that this was common, especially with kittens when I was reading about how to kitten-proof our apartment before we even got Anya. Our lid has always been down since we got her. Maybe I worry too much.

Yeah when Emmett was a kitten he actually jumped in and quickly jumped out. I keep the seat down all the time since then.

Hendrix has not yet. She has been caught drinking from it. So now we dont leave it open anymore.

I think Joplin would if we left the toilet open!

I know it is gross. My old roommates had an American bull dog that would drink out of the toilet and leave her spit water all over the toilet seat. Sitting on that is not the most fun in the morning! It's gross, maybe its really cold cause of the porcelin(sp?) its sitting in?
