My kitten really loves going outside, and she'll often sit at the patio door pawing at the glass and whining and whining to get out. We try to take her out on a harness as often as we can - twice a day for half an hour or so, but sometimes she'll just sit at the glass crying for ages, running to the other garden door in the hope someone will come!
anyway we're trying to get her into a routine of being allowed out a couple of times, and not to pay her attention when she tries to get out other times. She tries everything to persuade us, like bribing with a little cuddle and then going to the door, but occasionally, and most infuriatingly, sometimes she'll pee on a little patch of carpet in front of the door when i don't let her out.
It seems like she really does it on purpose - she'll sit there staring me in the face, and if i move her to her box she'll just pee on me. She doesn't have a problem with her litter box otherwise! How, how HOW can I stop this?

i would say ask this in the kitten and pregnancy forum, if its really a "kitten" (under 5 months old). you might get a better response. also, it takes a while to get a response, so try to wait, ok? i wish i had a answer for you, but i dont

My 6 year old cat does the same (except she doesn't pee). She'll sit at the door and cry all night. I let her out once in awhile, but I sit outside with her. I am wondering how to handle the same thing.

i was thinkin , are they fixed? if not, could be a "heat" and there letting you know they want to find a mate!
