My Annahita stool got some blood with it. I've already bring her to the vet and she got deworm and hairball treatment. My question is how normal is it? Is it very easy for a cat to have bloody stool?

bonus question:
How does you vet examine the bloody stool if you ever bring one to the vet?

Its not normal for a cat to get a bloody stool. Your kitty needs vet treatment asap. Take the sample in and have her checked out!

My vet told me that it was not that uncommon for kittens to get bloody stools when I wiped some blood off of Nova's bum. He told me I could bring in a stool sample for him to examine or I could wait for a bit and see if it persists. I decided against taking in a sample and haven't seen anymore blood in her stools since.

Reading you blog you have already been in once for bloody stool and you baby had lost wieght. I recommend getting her back for more tests. Better safe than sorry.

I would highly recommend that you take a fresh stool sample into the vet office. The "general" dewormer doesn't take care of all parasites, so it may be something that requires a different medication.

My Persian cats used to suffer from intermittently mildly bloody stools and very stinky stools until I changed their diet to a very high quality canned food. In the end, it turned out that all they needed was a change in diet. That may or may not be the case for your kitten so I'd say see a vet.
