10 Kitty Questions

1. What type of food do you feed your kitties? Meow Mix (I know - bad for them, but they won't touch anything else!)
2. What type of litter do you use? Fresh Step scoopable - nothing beats it. Especially with 5 extra large 6 inch deep rubbermaid boxes to clean!

4. Do you give them kitty treats? If so, what kind? I buy different treats each time I go to the store just to keep variety.
5. How many kitties do you have? Four little girls and one foster boy
6. Have you met your kitty quota or do you want more kitties in the future? Our quota is 5, so as long as we are fostering, we won't be adopting anymore permanent additions.
7. Do you prefer a certain breed of cat, or perfer long hair over short hair, or tabby over all white? Any little fur ball that looks at me with those beautiful eyes melts my heart. Doesn't matter shape, size, or color. Although...my daughters continue to inform me that our next cat will be orange because that's the color we are missing from our "rainbow" of a family.
8. Did you get your kitties from a shelter, out of the paper, from a breeder? All were rescue or shelter kitties.

10. If you could buy any breed today (money isn't an issue) and you had room for just one more kitty, what would you get? I think I would still adopt, but with money not being an issue I'd probably come home with a few instead of just one. Although I don't think I'd ever buy a pure bred just because there are too many rescues out there that need homes, I do have soft spot in my heart for the looks of an exotic.

I sure do prefer a certain breed....the standard domestic short or long hair! My favorite color is probably solid blue/gray, but I would NEVER adopt a cat just because of how it looked.

3 kitties from 3 different shelters.

Absolutely not.

I don't buy cats. There are already waaaaaaaay too many cats in the world and the way I see it is that we have no business making any more when 3-4 million companion animals die in shelter every year. If I had all th emoney in the world, I'd use it to rescue and rehome more cats. I'd give it to the shelter I work for.

Miagi was in some lady's basement and she couldn't keep him, so my parents got him out of the paper out of the "free" adds. Tiger and another cat were left on the highway to fend for themselves. these nice people took them in and were fostering them but couldn't keep them. we were looking for a buddy for Miagi and saw Tiger first and fell in love. he was also in the "free" adds in the newspaper.

9. Are you a breeder and if so what type of cat do you breed? I will never breed any animal..there's too many looking for homes already.

If you could buy any breed today (money isn't an issue) and you had room for just one more kitty, what would you get? a bengal..but I wouldn't buy..I would adopt. there's too many cats looking for homes in this world already and I wouldn't want to support a breeder no matter how responsible they were.

Well in my life I have had 4 cats, 2 orange tabbies, 1 silver tabby and a pure white one so I am going to say yes I prefer tabbies even though I don't realize it when I adopt them. I have never had a long hair so I don't know the difference.

8. Did you get your kitties from a shelter, out of the paper, from a breeder? from the humane society. Its the best place to get them because they come microchipped, dewormed, first set of shots (kittens). If it was up to me I'd take every cat there because they all seem so sad.

he was a stray i rescued, and the first thing i thought when i saw him was whoah, he's gorgeous-and he was a tabby! so now i love tabbies

if i were to pick another cat i'm not sure i'd do it by breed tho..i'd go to a shelter and pick the one that just seemed right for me.

Did you get your kitties from a shelter, out of the paper, from a breeder?found my kitty on the street, skinny and hungry and meowing his head off. took him home, fed and watered him. the next day, went out knocking on doors, looking for lost cat signs-nothing. looked in the paper as well-nothing. took him to the vet, he was scanned for a chip and didn't have one...so now he's mine

9. Are you a breeder and if so what type of cat do you breed?not a breeder. i don't think cats should be bred til all the ones who dont have homes right now get a home, but i know realistically that breeding isn't going to stop. i'd never buy from a breeder - i'll always get my cats from a rescue.

1. What type of food do you feed your kitties? Mine are on all canned food. Harvey gets Nutro, and Tailer and Forest get ProPlan (unless I ever manage to find a better quality food with a high protein content that they'lol eat)

2. What type of litter do you use? Cat Attract

3. Do they have kitty furniture? Yes...lots and lots of it...couches, beds, tables, chairs...they consider all the furniture in the house theirs.

4. Do you give them kitty treats? If so, what kind? Nutro treats for everyday use...Wildside Salmon treats for special occasions or after I do something really horrible (like brush them or give them hairball meds) and need to buy some forgiveness.

6. Have you met your kitty quota or do you want more kitties in the future? Three is pretty much all I can manage to handle with my work schedule at the moment.

7. Do you prefer a certain breed of cat, or perfer long hair over short hair, or tabby over all white? I love them all, but have a terrible weakness for short haired orange tabbies.

None of the above...DH busted Tailer out of the local pound (just before the truck came to take him away)...Harvey belonged to a friend who couldn't keep him...and we got Forest from our vet, who was looking for a home for him.

I feel that there are far too many wonderful ones out there who desperately need homes. I'd adopt one from somewhere. (Or, more likely, I'd run across one somewhere who would adopt me.)

1. What type of food do you feed your kitties? IAMS dry food for kittens. I keep trying to feed her canned food. I've tried everything from the cheap stuff to Nutro pouches. She either just licks out the sauce and leaves the rest or sniffs it and then pretends to cover it up. Maybe when she gets older...

1. ProPlan kitten, Nutro hard food, and occasionally a small ball of raw beef
2. Wheat litter.. if you keep up after it, it is THE BEST at controlling smell
3.Yes, two towers, and lots of beds... they love them, but my lap is also a favorite spot.
4. No... just table scraps occasionally and I sprinkle that green powder stuff on their food (barley grass)
5. My mom's two senior cats (that stay in her bedroom), my four in the pic below, and six kittens (two of which we're keeping)

7. I love all cats, but I am partial to Burmese, Burmillas, Scottish Folds/ BSHs and Tonkinese.

Cornish Rex from a reputable breeder to support the continuation of breed standard
