Marjorie Knoller, owner of the two dogs that killed a woman in San Francisco, last year, has just been sentenced to 4 years in state prison, for involuntary manslaughter.

The judge cited the aggravating circumstances of perjury and lack of remorse as his reasons for the prison sentence, as opposed to probation.

She, also, has to pay a $5800 fine to the Victim Recovery fund and $6800 restitution to the victim's domestic partner.

With her current credit for time served and good time, she'll be out, in a little over two years.

Of course, this doesn't end this case. She is, still facing a civil suit, from Diane Whipple's partner.

I'm gratified to see a tough sentence (for a change). The callous behavior of these people, after the attack was reprehensible. Their shameless attempts to blame the victim disgusted me.

Why is this person who is not a family member getting anything? I'm glad that she got the maximum sentence, I think she deserved it.

California (especially, San Francisco) recognizes domestic partners, as if they were spouses.

Way too lenient of a sentence in my opinion.

She deserves to have dogs like hers attack her and see how she likes being mauled by these vicious animals.

6800 is the least the system can do. no amount will bring her back to the people who loved her
