This morning I woke up at, well actually this after noon anyway, at 2 PM.
It's my only day off for a while, so I figured I'd take that oppurtunity to sleep.
But I actually slept for 12 hours..I was up untill 2 am, giving Mushi a Bath last night because he got poopy on his butt furs again..
(I need to shave his butt or something), and everywhere he sat there was a little poop splotch..So not only did I have to bathe him, I had to scrub a few places in my house.
Anyways- On the days that I have to work, I have wake up at 4:30 am, and I cant really fall asleep untill at least 10:30..

I would LOVE to get 7 or 8 hours actual sleep at night, but I ususally end up with 4-6. And I can feel it by mid-day.

How much sleep do you prefer, and how much sleep do you ACTUALLY get?

I'm sorry - but this part of your post made me laugh, really hard

I usually get my 7 - 8 hours a night, I have to, or I get really crabby, and sick sometimes. I have a low immune system.

In bed by 10PM, up at 7:15AM!

I usually get 7 hours, and I rarely sleep too much longer on the weekends. Occasionally, like last night, I only get 5 as every so often my BF goes North on business and wakes up at 4am and he doesn't know how to be quiet

depends.. in between 3-7 hours usually. depends on what I am doing.

Sometimes I stay up on the computer most of the night.. which is my fault. But if I don't feel tired, I won't go to bed.

Which results in what happened yesterday.. horrible migrane and temp of 102 from only 3-4 hours a night, three days in a row.. then working all day long.

I like to have at least 8 hours, but I usually get closer to 7. Or less lately since Anya generally gets up at 6:00 am and thinks that if SHE'S up that I should be up too.

Hubby laughs that I get up like a robot from whatever we're doing EXACTLY at midnight and march myself into the bedroom to go to bed. I'm really cranky if I don't get enough sleep though.

If I'm really lucky I get 6 hours! Otherwise, it's anywhere from 0 to 6. Menopause really sucks big time! You drag your butt all day because you're so tired, ready to kill anyone that looks cross-eyed at you, drop into bed exhausted at night and then you SWEAT! My husband, who I used to call the polar bear, complains about how cold I keep the bedroom at night! Now he's switched to saying "It's too cold for the cats - see, they're shivering!". The cats have given up trying to sleep with me and I think David's about to! ps. He asked where the extra blankets are kept - what does that tell you?

If it were me, I'd show my husband the extra blankets: and then tell him he can use them when he's sleeping on the guest bed!!!

Yeah..It is kinda funny.
After I made that post, I went over to my aunts house with Mushi, and we shaved his booty.
Very awesome. Saves me some cat baths & scrubbing.

I think I get about 6. Sometimes less and if I can get my butt off here tonight I'll get more! I do need it. If I don't sleep enough when I try to get up I will be sort of short of breath with chest pains, like my heart is beating so hard. It's no fun. I prefer about 7 - 9. 9 would be best of course. I am a true night person. I could sleep forever and I would still have a hard time getting up in the morning and be sleepy in the afternoon. DH thinks it's all in my head but that is the honest truth.

In a state of misery w/o my Bella
Oh gosh I love to sleep..when you sleep you don't have to think! I take Tylenol PM everynight to fall asleep @ about 11 then get up at about 9:00 because Bella has to pee and I have to take her to the litter...she moves around next to my head and lets me know she has to go! If it weren't for that I could probably sleep to 10-11 because of the Tylenol PM

I go to bed anytime b/t 9 pm and 10pm....and I wake up at 4:30am....so I guess I get about 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 hours of sleep.....But I love getting to work early cause that means I can get off at 1:30pm so if I am really tired I take a nap when I get home...

7 - 8 hours on a workday, longer when I don't have to get up, unless Villy wakes me up! I do get woken up around 4am though as my SO goes to work then and he's not quiet either!! It sometimes takes me ages to get back to sleep so I usually lose an hour then too.

4-5 hours on a week night, a bit more at weekends although never as one long, continuous sleep. It makes me very crabby, and is one of the reasons I'm on here now instead of working! Too tired to concentrate on anything. How much do I need? If I ever manage to get more I'll let you know - I only know that what I get now is not enough.

I'm my own worst enemy sometimes as I tend to stop up too late, but I can't go to sleep if I go to bed early. It takes me ages to drop off then I tend to be woken by kitties early.. sigh.. I'm not a good sleeper at the best of times but with feline intervention I've no chance.

I go to bed around 10pm and wake up around 5-5:30am, but I wake up frequently during the night (I'm an incredibly light sleeper). I'd say I get somewhere between 4 and 7 hours' sleep, even on weekends -- my cats won't let me sleep in! I would love to get 8-9 hours' worth of sleep, but even when my cats don't wake me up my body's natural rhythm will. And to think, I used to be a night owl who slept in until noon!
