Does anybody remember this song?

It is one my mother used to sing so it dates back quite a ways but I have heard other people sing it but cannot remember the last line, it goes like this:

I think it may be from one of the older cartoon movies like The Aristocats.

No but I remember:

Senor del Gato was a cat
On a hot tin roof del Gato sat
He was there to read a letter miow miow miow
Where the reading light was better miow miow miow
It was a LOVE note for del Gato

And there was more but I can't remember it... Something about falling off the roof and breaking his knee and it was the end but someone came and helped him? It was a sad song but I think there was a happy ending?

Wow I just found the lyrics to the song I posted (sorry to intrude on your thread). I remember the tune and everything (from second grade). It WAS a sad song but at the end it was happy:
