if anyone has a gorgeous horse or two then feel free to post piccies of it on this thread! talk about your horses!
if you don;t have a horse but ride at a stables, talk about the horses you ride!!
and if you don't have a horse or ride, you can just talk about your pets!!

I loooooove horses! i've been riding since i can remember!

This is Ozzy.

He's 15.5hh and wouldn't hurt a fly... Damn he can run fast though!

We had a terrible accident last month that could of been fatal. We was on a main road, this mahoosive bush thing snagged itself onto my stirrup and made a hissing noise against the floor and he spooked and went galloping off towards an oncoming car but dodged it just in time then slipped and fell on his side... It was pretty scary!

I used to ride on the equ team at NC State. Those days were great
. I rode huntseat and one summer leased a chestnut quarterhorse named Elvis (in the attempt to get over the mental block from a bad fall). I love riding
. I have been thinking about going back to the stable and starting again. I decided if I do it again I don't want to ride hunt, dressage, western or anything like that, I want to learn the real deal, bareback. My weakness throughout riding has always been getting away with using my legs as little as possible, which is so bad!! My last coach told me that if I couldn't go a whole lesson without stirrups w/t/c then I couldn't jump. I was really frustrated with her but at the same time she was so right! I want to learn bareback because this means no cheating for me. I can slowly build my legs up and become confidant in this form before I continue any style. Now if I can make the time for it, I know this is the way I want to go.

I've been riding horses since my dad put me on one at 6 yrs old

I owned a horse when I was 18 - kept him for a few years then sold him to someone that was interested in showing him. He was a welsh/quarter horse cross - borderline in height for a pony/horse. I think he was like 14.2 hands.

He was really pretty bay and in the summer his coat would really get red! He also had long mane and tail but I trimmed his mane in English show style (short). He only would do English - he'd buck you off if you put a Western saddle on him. I like English riding over Western anyway.

I've ridden all my life and have a Fell pony (he's a British native) called Falcon. He's kept at livery on a farm near to where I live. He's 5 years old now and is going really well. He's jet black and about 14 hands. He lives out 24/7 because he hates to be in a stable (cheaper for me too).

hiya!

I have two Arabian mares, 22 and 12 years old. I miss my girlies, they're still boarded in California where we moved from.

He belongs to my friend but I pay to ride him whenever I want and I would love to be able to buy him one day.

I had a horse in England (still do) but she is out on permanent loan since I moved here.

Her name is Chianti
