Today was a very interesting and exciting day for us.
Something very out of the ordinary happened at a cat show we attended.

We had 3 bengal kittens entered and first they were all competing in an All Breed ring against 7 other bengal kittens. The judge placed all 3 of our kittens 1st, 2nd and 3rd best of breed. Wow, we were very pleased. I nearly fell out of my chair.

After the judging of all the other breeds....then the finals for that ring came....2 of our kittens were asked to come back for finals. Another wow....2 bengals called back in an All Breed ring.

And...here's the kicker......Our kittens placed 1st and 2nd in the finals in a field of 41 kittens!

I don't think this will happen again for a long time, as bengal competition at shows is very intense, not to mention having to compete with the other breeds.
<~~~~~~see my face?

Thanks Gaye! I'm jumping the gun a bit sharing my news without pictures, but I will post some soon with the lucky winners and their ribbons.

thank-you and yes, you're right! We were grinning ear to ear, I had to tell my wife to please not break my arm, she was squeezing my wrist so hard during the finals announcements.

First is Rodeo "admiring/eating/killing his first place ribbon?"

Second is Jack being jack...laid back, cool, checking out what belongs to him.

Congratulations!!!! I love your cats. They seriously rock.

Artic Cowboy doesn't even look like a pet cat. He looks like... something I would sit and stare at for an hour at the zoo (I love the wild cats). I think he is eating his ribbon. After all, what good is a prize if it doesn't taste yummy, right?

Give them some scritches for me, and I hope your wife did no permanent damage to your arm!
