Well, Jerry's bike a thon is just about over. He should be home in a few hours, and he didn't find a kitten this year.............I'm happy and sad all at the same time.

It'll be alright! Keep your chin up sweetie! I know how disappointing it can be when things don't always turn out like you hope for
Sometimes when you least expect it, a little bundle of fur makes it's way into your world! Don't give up yet- even though Jerry didn't find one today, i'm sure you two will eventually...and proabably when you're not looking for it
You will find another little angel to help....just maybe when you don't expect it
I'm sending you lots of "ice cream & bubble bath vibes"
Hey, and you get to see your DH tonight! That's awesome! Enjoy your time together! He sounds like a great guy

I'm so sorry, Susie! I know you were looking forward to another furbaby to love! Maybe next year!

He isn't home yet, Susie

This is a good thing though... he didn't come across any kittens suffering the way the others were

Well, look at it this way: right now everyone in your little fur-family gets along. If you got another kitten, maybe it would disrupt the harmony: and then what would you do? Perhaps it is just meant to be that you are a 4 cat family!

putting a positive spin on it, at least there wasn't a little kitten out there suffering and alone destined to become a feral or be picked up by a kill shelter... and the perfect kitten will come along at some point for you.

That could be arranged.
Seriously, Susie, when the time is right a little kitty that needs you will come along and be so lucky to become part of your family.

Your all right, I know. It's not that I even wanted another kitten. I mean, I have 4 and that's plenty. I love each and every one of these kitties more than I can say. It's just that every year Jerry would find them when we weren't expecting it. Now that this year I was kind of expecting it, it didn't happen!
Murphy's Law I guess........

Susie, it's a good thing Jerry didn't find a sick kitten
If you really want another, why don't you go to a shelter and see if one captures your heart?

I second Abby's Mom
Maybe try volunteering at a shelter for a bit and fostering--- shelters are always in need of great volunteers, and those animals there are just starving for attention & love
Your 4 little furbabies are lucky to have you!

Well thanks. I'm lucky to have them too! I just don't think I'd be able to give up the babies once I fostered them.....the mother too for that matter. How does this fostering work? Do you take care of them until they find a home, or until a certain age?
