What I did was put mom's food and water in the same room with mom and the kittens. When the kittens were ready..they would attempt to drink out of the same bowl that mom used.Originally Posted by Bluebells Belly

When i'm fostering orphan kittens without the momma..i start putting down water when the kittens are able to eat soft food out of a small dish
It's a learning process, be sure that they know it's there, sometimes it can make them a while to figure it out.
