So, I make him 15 now, as the vet estimated him at 11, and although one of the people in his old neighbourhood put him at older, others have put him at that age. It is a very special day for more than one reason though, as 4 years is the longest any of my cats has lived, 15 is the oldest that any of my cats have got to (although there was a debate with Snowy's age), and he lived on the streets for 3 years, so he has now lived here longer than he lived on the streets. Just another 4 years till he has lived here more than anywhere else!! Last years blood tests showed him to be healthy, and hopefully this years in Oct will show the same. He is having minced beef for tea, and I might start giving him some raw meat once a month, as he adores it.

Aww! I'm sooo glad he's had a wonderful home with you for 4 years!. He definitely deserves a little treat for tea
. However i would greatly caution you against giving him raw meat. Cats can succome to the same food poisioning such as e. coli and selominela (sp?) as humans can, and it can poision them or kill them if you give them meat that isn't properly cooked. Instead, i would suggest giving him some yummy tuna or canned kitty food as a tread
I bet he would love that! I'm happy to hear he is doing so well

Thanks for the good wishes.
Starry Eyed Tiger - he has had raw meat twice this year already, and he is perfectly fine. I think as he has lived outside for so long, he has a pretty good immune system.
