Cats and their Whiskers

Chynna is almost 15 years old and her whiskers are starting to curl and from my perspective some of them look like she may see them in her line of vision. Same with the ones above her eyes.

Is it ok to trim them down? I heard that they are important for their balance, but am not entirely sure.

Please, never trim a cat's whiskers!
They use them to judge distances and measure spaces.
If the whiskers are curling, your cat might have a vitamin deficiency. Please, call your vet!

DO NOT CUT THEM!!! thats what helps them see in the dark or when the light isn't sufficiant. as well as judging distance and shapes. they are very sensitive it would be like someone snipping your finger instead of your nails!
