I got an email from a guy I dont know how he got my email i am yet to figure thsi out.. anyway he has a farm and found a litter of kittens about 4-6 weeks old the mama cat was killed. He has found homes for all but this one all black male ( i am a SUCKER FOR A BLACK CAT) and with the shelter situation in rhode island right now and considering this baby is feral his chances arent good.. so i agreed to take him. I am expecting Fleas and worms. What else can i expect? I am not sure how he looks yet and if he will be requiring KMR. I know for the fleas someone mentioned dawn soap is this right? I will have to keep him COMPLETELY seperated from my girls until he is vet checked. What else can i do?

He will probably need KMR given his age, and he might not be able to use a litter tray yet. Do you know how to stimulate him after eating so that he will pee/poo?

Yes, dawn soap is said to be good, better then most over the counter fleas medicines - as some of them are dangerous!

Look at his eyes if he has trouble there. Many feral-born kittens have trouble with chlamydia-infections. And clamydia-vaccine isnt standard.

Good you have own cats. When he is clear of parasites and vet checked, they will hopefully be his fosterings.

I take they are fully vaccinated? If not, do it when he is in his quarantene room - it is always good to have your cats vaccinated - not only because you are taking in a feral kitten...

Im sure it will go well for you and this kitten.

Good luck!
