A famil;y would like to adopt one of our male kittens . They have an older neutered male. Would there be problems? I've heard that tom cats are territorial so they will accept females but not males. any advice please?
If the older male is NOT neutered, yes there can be problems. But I've found that neutered males get along better with each other then spayed females. In my experience, females seem to be more territorial with each other and other males then the reverse.
Find out if the older male is neutered; if so, I see no problem in adopting a male kitten - just be sure the kitten is neutered (or will be soon).
As long as both are neutered then sheir shouldn't be any problems. Read some of the stickies for proper introduction techniques. Don't just throw them together right away because there almost definately will be problems.
