Another Kandie adventure

Well I am posting this after the fact in hopes of making sence of it and getting advice

Kandie went to accupucture on wednesday and did well with double length light therepy and her needle work ... Well Thursday night I was watching her eat and saw pink in her thick white coat... Well I saw a raw area with sepage ... I took her to the pet ER and got told it could be ringworm but the light didnt show it and it didnt look to me like the pattern ... SO we are treating it as a hotspot... she is on anitbiotics clavamox and was given a steriod shot... she seems okay and will have a follow up with her vet.. Anything I can put on it ( it is in a easy lick area ) or do to make this recovery quick?? My dog has had hot spots but not like this

Was it like an open sore? Perhaps it was a burst abscess?

If I didnt know better I would think she over over groomed till the hair was gone ... Bright pink with a sheen to it , not pussy
