. . .what church would s/he attend? I know this is an odd question but it is just the sort of odd thing that comes up for discussion at our house from time to time.

Let me say up front that I mean no offense or disrespect to anyone or any religion! We're a Christian household - liberal mainline protestant.

I thought it was funny how quickly my husband, son and I agreed on where our cats would go to church.

We all think that Mac is Methodist. No one is really sure why, but it just seems to fit.

Emma is definately Anglican or Church of England.

Grace has to be a Unitarian.

So, what do you think? Where would your cat/s go to church?

I can't list every religion or religious branch so if you need one I didn't include please just add it in your post, okay?

Very odd question, but i'll play along. I think Tinga-Roo would be a Budhist as he has a very laid back personality.

I don't think that my 8-Bit would be a church goer. Scratch on the other hand would most likely be Roman Catholic. He is a very traditional kitty.

My girls would be Southern Baptist (because they're little southern belles
) And they would also attend Synagogue on Saturdays to keep up with their Christian heritage
. / Very interesting question by the way.

No Vacancy...One on the way!
Mikey is a total Lutheran just like dan and I.
finds people important. believes feeling good is important but our lord comes first over most things and our faith is what will empower us.

The kitten is a rebel, a lost soul who's waiting to be wrapped in gods warmth. at his young age he is spiritually learning and soaking up all that is possible. like a cute fuzzy sunday school student

Southern Baptist, because they love greeting people. At my church, we always walk around halfway through the worship songs, and shake hands and greet everyone. My kitties often come up to give headbonks....

Baptists also LOVE to eat...we have potlucks or carry ins fairly often. My kitties are always ready for a good meal or snack.

But mostly, because that is where I go every Sunday, and the kitties can't drive!

I know it is a very weird question and I won't even try to go into how or why we started talking about it the other day.

I am so sorry that I forgot about our Lutheran friends! If Mac wasn't Methodist he'd probably be Lutheran.

I would lust like to point out the the correct term for one of the branches of Judaism is Reform. not reformed. Many of will never ne reformed even though we belong to the Reform Movement.
PS ( you left out Reconstructionism, Conservative, and Jewish Renewal aka Neo-Hasidic)

Ooops, I am almost late for Friday night services. Shabbat Shalom

Zissou would be Unitarian. She's a little hippie princess, and she would love the monthly women's gatherings and moonbathing.

And she's very accepting of anyone, regardless of what they look like or think like or live like. As long as they are nice to her in return.

Other than that maybe United Methodist.

She's def. a pacifist.

Well you left out a few religions... I don't attend church and I am of no particular religion, but if I had to pick one for my cats and I to attend (together? How cool would that be to attend with your cats) perhaps we would be Pagan or Wiccan. If I had any interest in religion whatsoever I would look into those first so I guess that would be my answer.

You also left out Pentecostal

But, maybe that's what you meant by Southern Baptist

All 3 of ours would be Pentecostal if they went to Church.(But, we don't go to Church)

Stumpy would only go if they could worship her beauty. You can just imagine her sitting like the pic in my sig while everyone bows to her!

I'd send Lily along to learn a bit of Buddhism and the state of calm!
